WAXBATH®
WAXBATH® is a paraffin wax bath unit designed for physiotherapy clinics and hospitals. It melts and maintains paraffin wax at a controlled temperature (30–110°C) using indirect heating with an industrial heater element, thermostat regulation and automatic cut-off for safety. The mild steel powder-coated tank starts with a minimum wax capacity as low as 1 kg and is available in three sizes — 7 kg, 15 kg and 30 kg — to suit different clinic volumes. Odour-free operation, maintenance-free construction, castor wheels and a built-in safety fuse make it suitable for daily clinical use.

WAXBATH® combines indirect heating, thermostat regulation with auto cut-off, odour-free operation and a maintenance-free powder-coated tank into a straightforward paraffin wax preparation system available in three capacity sizes.
3 Tank Sizes — 7 kg, 15 kg & 30 kg
Available in three tank capacities to match different clinic volumes and treatment loads. The 7 kg unit suits single-practitioner practices and smaller clinics; the 15 kg handles medium-volume departments; the 30 kg serves high-throughput hospital physiotherapy units where multiple patients need wax applications in a single session block.
Thermostat Control with Auto Cut-Off
An adjustable thermostat maintains wax temperature between 30°C and 110°C with automatic cut-off when the set temperature is reached. Power indicator and thermostat indicator lights provide visual confirmation of heating status and temperature regulation. The auto cut-off prevents overheating and reduces energy consumption during idle periods.
Indirect Heating Method
Uses an indirect heating system rather than direct contact between the heating element and paraffin wax. This prevents localised overheating, hot spots and wax degradation, ensuring even temperature distribution throughout the tank. The indirect method also contributes to the unit’s odour-free operation during wax melting and maintenance.
Minimum 1 kg Wax Start Capacity
Designed to operate with a minimum wax load of just 1 kg, allowing clinics to start with smaller quantities and add wax as needed. This flexibility is particularly useful for practices that use wax therapy less frequently or want to manage wax inventory without filling the entire tank for occasional use.
Odour-Free & Maintenance-Free Construction
The indirect heating system and controlled temperature regulation ensure odour-free operation during wax melting and holding. The tank is constructed from mild steel with a powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance. Maintenance-free design requires no special servicing beyond routine cleaning. A built-in safety fuse provides additional circuit protection.
Mobile Unit with Castor Wheels
Fitted with castor wheels for easy repositioning between treatment rooms and clinical areas. The wheeled base allows staff to move the unit to wherever paraffin wax applications are needed during the working day. Industrial heater element is rated for repeated daily heating cycles in clinical environments. Also designed for veterinary care applications. Manufactured by HMS Medical Systems.
