DIGISONIC® 3n is a computerised dual-frequency ultrasound therapy machine with 1 MHz and 3 MHz output from a single water-resistant transducer. Featuring a 5-inch colour touch display, 47 evidence-based pre-programmed protocols, 30 re-writable user memory positions, contact control sensor with transducer indicator, 3 pulse rate options (16 Hz, 48 Hz and 100 Hz), 9 pulsed duty cycle settings and intensity up to 3 W/cm², it provides comprehensive ultrasound control with head warming capability and optional static and small-area transducers.

DIGISONIC® 3n combines dual frequency, 3 pulse rates, 9 duty cycles, 47 evidence-based protocols, head warming and contact sensor safety with a 5-inch touch display — the most feature-rich standard ultrasound unit in the HMS range.
1 MHz & 3 MHz from Single Transducer
Delivers both 1 MHz and 3 MHz ultrasound from one water-resistant transducer with built-in contact sensor indicator. Standard 5 cm² ERA transducer included; optional 1 cm² small-area transducer and 5 cm² static transducer available. Collimated beam with beam non-uniformity ratio of 5:1 (max).
47 Evidence-Based Protocols + 30 User Memory
Pre-loaded with 47 evidence-based treatment protocols that auto-configure frequency, output mode, pulse rate, duty cycle and intensity. 30 re-writable user memory positions allow physiotherapists to save custom parameter combinations for quick recall across repeat sessions.
3 Pulse Rates & 9 Duty Cycle Settings
Three selectable pulse rates — 16 Hz, 48 Hz and 100 Hz — with 9 pulsed duty cycle options (10% through 90%). This combination provides 27 distinct pulsed configurations plus continuous mode. Intensity adjustable from 0.1 to 3 W/cm². Timer: 1–99 minutes.
5-Inch Colour Touch Display
A 5-inch colour touch screen shows all active parameters — frequency, output mode, pulse settings, intensity, timer and contact sensor status. Touch navigation provides direct access to protocol selection, manual parameter adjustment and user memory. Contact sensor indicator on the transducer gives additional visual feedback.
Contact Sensor & Head Warming
Contact control sensor automatically suspends ultrasound output when transducer-to-skin contact becomes insufficient, resuming when proper contact is restored. Head warming feature pre-heats the transducer face before patient contact — unique to the DIGISONIC® 3n and 3n Plus in the HMS ultrasound range.

Housed in a compact unit measuring 23 × 22.8 × 9.5 cm and weighing 1.7 kg. Energy-efficient design with universal mains input (100–240V, 50/60 Hz). Certified to IEC 60601-1 (Class I, Type BF). Also designed for veterinary care. Manufactured by HMS Medical Systems.
