Longwave Diathermy Control & Performance

SPOTCURE® provides computerised longwave diathermy output through the capacitor field method — combining 1 MHz frequency, continuous/pulsed delivery, 15-step power control and three electrode sizes into a 1.7 kg portable system that works across a wide voltage range.

1 MHz Capacitor Field Output

Operates at 1 MHz output frequency (300-metre wavelength) using the capacitor field method for deep-tissue heating. This positions SPOTCURE® between ultrasound therapy (smaller, more focused area) and shortwave diathermy (broader coverage) — offering a mid-range treatment area suitable for targeted longwave diathermy applications in physiotherapy.

Continuous & Pulsed Output Modes

Supports both continuous and pulsed energy delivery. Pulsed mode operates at 100 Hz with 4 selectable pulse steps, allowing physiotherapists to control the rate of energy delivery and tissue heating based on treatment requirements. Continuous mode provides uninterrupted output for sustained heating applications.

15-Step Adjustable Power Output

Output power is adjustable across 15 discrete steps (1 Watt per 100 Ohm load), giving precise control over heating intensity. The stepped adjustment allows clinicians to incrementally increase or decrease output during treatment based on patient feedback and clinical parameters.

3 Electrode Sizes — 30, 50 & 60 mm

Ships with three capacitive electrode sizes — 30 mm, 50 mm and 60 mm — for treating different body regions. Smaller electrodes focus energy on compact areas, while larger electrodes distribute output across broader treatment zones. Electrode selection lets physiotherapists match the treatment field to the target area.

Microcontroller-Based with Capsense Keys

Microcontroller-based circuitry manages all output parameters, timer functions and safety monitoring. Touch-free capsense (capacitive sensing) keys provide hygienic, responsive control without physical buttons — no mechanical wear over time. A 128 × 64 graphic LCD display shows all active parameters including output mode, power step, pulse setting and treatment timer (0–60 minutes).

1.7 kg Build with Wide Voltage Tolerance

At 1.7 kg and 30 × 25 × 10.5 cm in a plastic moulded cabinet, SPOTCURE® is among the lightest diathermy machines in its class. Wide input voltage range of 90–270V (50/60 Hz) ensures stable operation even during heavy voltage fluctuations — suitable for clinics in areas with inconsistent mains supply. Certified to IEC 60601-1 (Class I, Type BF). Also designed for veterinary care applications.
