INDOTHERM P500W
INDOTHERM® P500W is a heavy-duty pulsed and continuous shortwave diathermy machine operating at 27.12 MHz. It delivers 500W continuous output (adjustable in 5 steps) and 1000W pulsed output (adjustable in 5 steps) with pulse frequency of 50–500 Hz (10 steps) and 400 µsec pulse width. Mounted on castors with plastic moulded multi-position arm sets, disc and pad electrode sets, a 99-minute digital timer with auto cut-off and LED display, it is the only HMS shortwave diathermy offering both pulsed and continuous output modes in a single 38 kg floor-standing unit.

INDOTHERM® P500W provides dual-mode shortwave diathermy at 27.12 MHz with 500W continuous / 1000W pulsed output, 10-step pulse frequency control and multi-position arm electrode positioning — the most capable shortwave diathermy in the HMS range.
Pulsed & Continuous Dual Output Mode
The only HMS shortwave diathermy with both continuous and pulsed output. Continuous mode delivers up to 500W (adjustable in 5 steps). Pulsed mode delivers up to 1000W peak power (adjustable in 5 steps) with 400 µsec pulse width. Dual-mode operation from a single unit eliminates the need for separate continuous and pulsed shortwave equipment.
27.12 MHz Generator Frequency
Operates at the international standard shortwave diathermy frequency of 27.12 MHz. This ISM-band frequency is approved for industrial, scientific and medical applications and ensures compliance with electromagnetic compatibility requirements for clinical use.
50–500 Hz Pulse Frequency — 10 Steps
Pulse frequency adjustable from 50 to 500 Hz across 10 selectable steps, providing control over the pulse repetition rate in pulsed mode. Higher pulse frequencies deliver more pulses per second; lower frequencies allow longer inter-pulse intervals. Pulse width is fixed at 400 microseconds.
Multi-Position Arm Set with Disc & Pad Electrodes
Plastic moulded multi-position arm set allows the disc and pad electrodes to be positioned around the treatment area without requiring the patient to move. Both disc electrode set and pad electrode set are included. The articulated arms lock in position for stable electrode placement during treatment.
99-Minute Digital Timer with Auto Cut-Off
Digital timer adjustable from 0 to 99 minutes. Automatic output cut-off at the end of the set treatment time with acoustic buzzer signal. LED display shows timer status. Auto cut-off prevents over-treatment if the clinician is attending other patients.
38 kg Floor-Standing with Castors
Heavy-duty floor-standing unit at 38 kg and 35 × 48 × 75 cm, mounted on castors for mobility between treatment rooms. Mains: 220V / 50 Hz. Also designed for veterinary care. Manufactured by HMS Medical Systems.
