Diagnostic Muscle Stimulation with Dedicated Controls

INDOSTIM® DT focuses on core muscle stimulation and TENS through five operating modes with constant current output, separate IG and SF controls, and an audio-visual IG pulse indicator — a direct-control approach for clinicians who prefer dedicated hardware controls over menu-driven interfaces.

5 Operating Modes — G / IG / F / SF / TENS

Covers Galvanic (continuous DC current), Interrupted Galvanic (variable pulse duration across 11 diagnostic steps: 0.1, 0.3, 0.1, 0.3, 1, 3, 10, 30, 100, 300 and 1000 mSec with fixed 1-second OFF time), Faradic (50 Hz / 0.7 mSec), Surge Faradic (ON time 2–12 sec in 1-sec steps, OFF time fixed at 2 sec) and TENS (10 fixed frequency steps from 2–125 Hz, 100 µsec pulse width).

Constant Current Output — 0–40 mA

Delivers constant current output across all five modes, maintaining the set intensity level regardless of changes in skin or electrode resistance during treatment. Output range of 0–40 mA provides sufficient stimulation for diagnostic IG testing, therapeutic muscle stimulation and TENS applications in a single-channel configuration.

Audio-Visual IG Pulse Indicator

A built-in buzzer sounds with each interrupted galvanic pulse, providing audible confirmation of pulse timing and delivery. Combined with a visual LED indicator, this dual-feedback system allows physiotherapists to monitor IG output in real time during diagnostic pulse testing — particularly useful when attention is focused on observing the patient’s muscle response rather than the equipment display.

Separate Controls for IG Duration & SF Interval

IG pulse duration and surge faradic interval are adjusted through separate, dedicated controls rather than shared menu navigation. This independent control layout allows physiotherapists to set and modify IG and SF parameters quickly and directly — without accidentally changing one parameter while adjusting the other.

TENS with 10 Fixed Frequency Steps

TENS mode operates at 10 pre-set frequency steps — 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 60, 80, 100 and 125 Hz — with a fixed pulse width of 100 µsec. The stepped frequency selection provides quick access to commonly used TENS frequencies without requiring fine-adjustment through a continuous range.

Compact Build & LED Display

Housed in a compact cabinet measuring 17 × 28.5 × 9 cm and weighing 1.6 kg. LED display provides clear indication of active mode and output status. Microcontroller-based circuitry manages all output and safety functions. Universal mains input (100–240V, 50/60 Hz). Certified to IEC 60601-1 (Class I, Type BF). Manufactured by HMS Medical Systems.
