INDOSTIM 201
INDOSTIM® 201 is a microcontroller-based therapeutic muscle stimulator with five current forms — Galvanic, Interrupted Galvanic, Faradic, Surge Faradic and TENS. Designed for therapeutic muscle stimulation rather than diagnostic testing, it operates with a therapeutic IG pulse range of 30–300 mSec, continuously adjustable surge timing (1–6 sec) and constant current output up to 40 mA. At just 1.2 kg and 17 × 18 × 7 cm, it is the smallest and lightest muscle stimulator in the HMS range — built for clinics that need a compact, no-frills therapeutic stimulator with essential Galvanic, Faradic and TENS capability.

INDOSTIM® 201 delivers five therapeutic current forms with constant current output, continuously adjustable surge timing and audio IG indication — focused entirely on therapeutic muscle stimulation in the smallest, lightest unit in the HMS stimulator range.
5 Therapeutic Current Forms
Covers Galvanic (continuous DC current), Interrupted Galvanic (therapeutic pulse duration 30–300 mSec), Faradic (50 Hz / 0.7 mSec), Surge Faradic and TENS (2–125 Hz / 100 µsec). Unlike the INDOSTIM® DT which includes diagnostic IG testing, the 201 focuses on the therapeutic IG range only — making it the appropriate choice for clinics where diagnostic electrodiagnosis is handled by other equipment.
Continuously Adjustable Surge — 1–6 Sec
Surge faradic timing is continuously adjustable from 1 to 6 seconds — not stepped. This gives physiotherapists smooth, stepless control over contraction-relaxation cycle timing for surge faradic applications, allowing precise matching of surge duration to the clinical requirement without being locked to fixed 1-second increments.
Constant Current Output — 0–40 mA
Delivers constant current output across all five current forms, maintaining the set stimulation intensity regardless of changes in skin or electrode resistance during treatment. Output range of 0–40 mA covers standard therapeutic muscle stimulation and TENS requirements in a single-channel configuration.
Audio IG Pulse Indicator
A built-in buzzer sounds with each interrupted galvanic pulse, providing audible confirmation of pulse timing and delivery. This allows physiotherapists to monitor IG output while focused on observing the patient’s muscle response, without needing to watch the equipment continuously.
Soft-Touch Key Selection & Shared Control
Treatment modes are selected via soft-touch keys for quick, responsive mode switching. IG pulse duration and surge faradic interval are adjusted through a single shared control — simplifying the front panel layout and reducing the number of controls to learn. This shared-control approach trades the independent adjustment of the INDOSTIM® DT for a more compact, streamlined interface.

At 1.2 kg and 17 × 18 × 7 cm, INDOSTIM® 201 is the most compact muscle stimulator HMS manufactures. Its small footprint fits easily on crowded therapy tables, in equipment drawers or on mobile treatment carts. Microcontroller-based circuitry manages all output and safety functions.
