INDOSONIC® 102n
INDOSONIC® 102n is a solid-state 1 MHz ultrasound therapy machine with continuous and pulsed output, four selectable pulse durations (1, 2, 4 and 5 msec at 100 Hz), contact sensor, intensity up to 3 W/cm², combination therapy provision and an underwater treatment transducer. With digital display of output power, a 99-minute timer with set+/set–/start/pause controls and optional 1 cm² small-area probe, it provides more pulse flexibility and higher max output than the ULT® 100a while remaining a focused single-frequency unit at 1.5 kg.

Enhanced 1 MHz Ultrasound with Pulse Flexibility
INDOSONIC® 102n delivers 1 MHz ultrasound with 4 pulse durations, contact sensor, underwater transducer, combination therapy provision and up to 3 W/cm² output — the most capable single-frequency ultrasound unit in the HMS range.
4 Pulse Duration Options at 100 Hz
Offers four selectable pulse durations — 1, 2, 4 and 5 milliseconds — all at 100 Hz pulse frequency, plus continuous mode. This provides more pulsed output variation than the ULT® 100a’s two ratios (1:9 and 2:8), giving physiotherapists finer control over the thermal-to-mechanical output balance.
Contact Control Sensor
Built-in contact sensor monitors transducer-to-skin coupling during treatment. Output is automatically suspended when contact becomes insufficient and resumes when proper coupling is restored — a safety feature not available on the ULT® 100a.
0–3 W/cm² Output Intensity
Maximum output intensity of 3 W/cm² — higher than the ULT® 100a’s 2.5 W/cm² ceiling. Digital display shows output power in W/cm² during treatment. The 5 cm² ERA transducer is standard; an optional 1 cm² probe is available for small-area applications.
Underwater Treatment Transducer
The transducer is rated for underwater use, supporting submerged ultrasound applications where direct transducer-to-skin contact is impractical or uncomfortable — such as treatment of irregular body surfaces, digits and bony prominences immersed in water.
Combination Therapy Provision
Built-in provision for combination therapy allows simultaneous use with compatible electrotherapy equipment. This enables combined ultrasound and electrical stimulation from a single treatment setup without requiring a dedicated combination therapy unit.
1.5 kg with Advanced Timer Controls
At 1.5 kg and 21 × 22.5 × 6.5 cm, INDOSONIC® 102n matches the ULT® 100a’s portability. Timer runs 0–99 minutes with set+, set–, start and pause controls. Non-thermal effect capability through pulsed modes. Universal mains input (100–240V, 50/60 Hz). Certified to IEC 60601-1 (Class I, Type BF). Also designed for veterinary care. Manufactured by HMS Medical Systems.
